About this practice:
We are a small private obstetrics and gynecology practice located in Napa, CA at 3030 Beard Road; owned and operated by Dr. Rebecca Levy-Gantt.
Dr. Levy-Gantt grew up in New York City. She attended St. Francis College and then obtained a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University. She worked as a Physical Therapist for several years, then moved to Long Island, NY for medical school. Dr. Levy-Gantt received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and afterward worked in Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. There, she was a private practice ObGyn for 11 years. She moved to Napa in 2008. She has worked in Napa as an ObGyn physician since then, first with Dr. Jerome Solomon, and then as an employee of Community Health Clinic Ole. Dr. Levy-Gantt has now opened her own limited private practice to continue to provide Obstetrical and Gynecological services to the women of Napa Valley.
Dr. Levy-Gantt’s special interests and areas of expertise include menopause, peri-menopause and hormonal management, including Bio-Identical and compounded hormone treatments, and alternative treatments. She also cares for women seeking various forms of contraception, and fertility management. A limited number of Obstetrical patients will be included in her practice, as her time and schedule allows.
Reliable information on birth control, sex education and reproductive health can be found on the recommended website, Talktabu.com — Dr Levy-Gantt will be a contributor to this on-line magazine geared for reproductive age women.
She recently had the opportunity to be part of a new Podcast called Sex Ed With DB, and information on this Podcast can be found at SexEdwithdb.tumblr.com
Dr. Levy-Gantt is a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner. She is on the national listing of physicians who specialize in menopausal management.
OFFICE POLICY: Dr. Levy-Gantt, as a solo practitioner, is running a “mostly office” practice; she is not doing night or weekend on-call, as a rule. Pregnant patients will be informed at their first visit whether Dr Levy-Gantt can provide them reassurance that she will be available for the several weeks surrounding their established “EDD”, or estimated delivery date. IF a pregnant patient needs hospital care prior to this time period, there are hospital emergency room practitioners and other physicians who can care for them. IF Dr. Levy-Gantt is available, she will be glad to participate in that care, but cannot guarantee that she will. If this arrangement is not satisfactory, we urge patients to seek their care elsewhere, as Dr. Levy-Gantt does NOT want to have patients whose expectations she cannot meet. Please address any questions about this with Dr. Levy-Gantt at your office visit.
Health does not begin with the treatment of disease. Being and staying healthy requires mindfulness and a plan which works best for each individual.
