Dr. Rebecca Levy-Gantt
Dr. Levy-Gantt grew up in New York City. She attended St. Francis College and then earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University. She worked as a Physical Therapist for several years, then moved to Long Island, NY, for medical school. Dr. Levy-Gantt received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and afterward worked in Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. There, she was a private practice ObGyn for 11 years. She moved to Napa in 2008 and has worked as an ObGyn physician since then, first with Dr. Jerome Solomon, and then as an employee of Community Health Clinic Ole. Dr. Levy-Gantt has now opened her own limited private practice to continue to provide Obstetrical and Gynecological services to women in Napa Valley.
Dr. Levy-Gantt’s special interests and areas of expertise include menopause, peri-menopause and hormonal management, including bio-identical and compounded hormone treatments, and alternative treatments. She also cares for women seeking various forms of contraception and fertility management. A limited number of obstetrical patients are included in her practice, as her time and schedule allow.
Dr. Levy-Gantt is a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner. She is on the national listing of physicians who specialize in menopausal management.
OFFICE POLICY: Dr. Levy-Gantt, as a solo practitioner, is running a mostly office practice; she is not doing night or weekend on-call except related to labor and delivery care. Pregnant patients will have a consultation at their first visit as to whether Dr Levy-Gantt can provide them reassurance that she will be available for the weeks surrounding their established estimated delivery date. If a pregnant patient needs hospital care apart from the time surrounding the delivery date, there are hospital emergency room practitioners and other delivery room physicians who can care for her. If Dr. Levy-Gantt is available, she will be glad to participate in that care. If this arrangement is not satisfactory, we urge patients to seek their care elsewhere, as Dr. Levy-Gantt does not want to have patients whose expectations she cannot meet. Please address any questions about your concerns with Dr. Levy-Gantt at your office visit.
Health does not begin with the treatment of disease. Being and staying healthy requires mindfulness and a plan that works best for each individual.
